On Rotary International Action Day, a Rotary Lugano-Lago Member and our Colombian exchange student will join forces to participate at Europe's steepest Stair Race Stairways to Heaven. They will climb 4’261 steps, with a maximum slope of 89%, and gain 780 meters of elevation in just over 1,3 km.

By climbing side by side, our exchange student contributes directly to the development of her home community, while our club supports her commitment through an act of international solidarity.

All 8,522 CHF will support the Rotary Club Nuevo Ibagué project that strengthens education and opportunities for rural youth in the Cañón del Combeima.​​
